This is my Matchbox version of the venerable Land Rover Defender 110. It's a direct descendant of the iconic Land Rover that has served around the world in rough terrain locations.
The last of these models rolled off the assembly line in January 2016 and the world is waiting to see what Land Rover will create as a replacement model. It will be interesting to see what the next chapter in the Land Rover story holds.
I like this Matchbox version because it is true to real thing and it exudes the clunky utilitarian nature of this beast. The 110 in the name refers to the 110 inch wheel base of this original sport utility.
Since this one has a snorkel, you can probably even play with it in the tub!
This Blog presents cool photographs of die-cast cars. I am dedicated to photographing die-cast cars of all shapes and sizes. I feature photos of die-cast cars from Action, Bburago, Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, Matchbox, Maisto, and many other sources. Ideally, I'd like to show a cool new photograph of a die-cast car every day!
