This Hot Wheels has a strange name and an interesting design. It's the Hot Wheels Whip Creamer II. It almost looks like a fairly successful Pinewood Derby car that I had long, long, ago as a Cub Scout. I picked this car up a few years ago at Kroger as part of a Mardi Gras series.

The car has a beads motif in the paint job and a transparent violet roof that retracts to reveal the gold interior of the car. Even more interesting, this car has a history. In 1970, Hot Wheels released an original
Hot Wheels Whip Creamer car. According to the Wikia, the original Whip Creamer was designed by Paul Tam and the
Whip Creamer 2 car was designed by his son, Alec Tam.

I like the tunnel effect under the car shown in the photo above. It's pretty slick. Overall, this is a very unusual car and it has an interesting back story.
