This truck isn't red. But, it is the Hot Wheels version of the famed 1979 Dodge Lil Red Express Truck. It's a nicely detailed little Matchbox car with a great paint job.
It really shines in the profile. The striping is pure 1979 and the side pipes give it a macho edge that would be entirely politically incorrect in this environmentally aware era.
If you really like this truck, you can even get it in a clock form. This would look great as a clock in a garage or basement man cave.
This Blog presents cool photographs of die-cast cars. I am dedicated to photographing die-cast cars of all shapes and sizes. I feature photos of die-cast cars from Action, Bburago, Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, Matchbox, Maisto, and many other sources. Ideally, I'd like to show a cool new photograph of a die-cast car every day!

Matchbox 1970 Datsun 510 Rally Photos
The trouble with tiggers is that they are much bigger than this little '70 Datsun 510 Rally from Matchbox.
This is a 2017 model Matchbox car from the MBX Explorers series. It's ready to rally!
This car has a detailed paint job and a bright orange body. It's a cool addition to any model car collection.
If you are a fan of the Datsun 510, check out my Hot Wheels Datsun 510 Bluebird.

Hot Wheels Track Ripper Photos
I recently added this Hot Wheels Track Ripper to my collection. It is part of the 2019 Speed Blur series of cars.
I'm not sure what inspired this car. I see elements of a variety of cars. But, the Track Ripper definitely looks right at home in front of this aging garage.
The paint job on this little car reminds me of the paint found in spy photos of the latest test mules and concept cars from Detroit. I do think that the blue plastic bumpers detract from the overall look. But, it's a cool car.

Hot Wheels: 1964 Chevy Chevelle
This little Hot Wheels car has captured my photographic attention lately. It's a nice looking retro car with a powerful engine rising from the hood. Here are a few photos that I've taken of it lately.
Here it is on the cover of an anthology of short stories put together by The WolfPackAuthors, a group of up and coming writers. You can follow them on twitter at #WolfPackAuthors. The proceeds of "Once upon a WolfPack" are going to the Lockwood Animal Rescue Center(LARC)--a wolf rehabilitation center that works with veterans returning from war.
One thing that I like about this car is the chrome grill. It's got an old time shine.
This car definitely looks good when it has a moment in the sun. The red lines around the tires really contribute to the retro look.

Hot Wheels Surf 'n Turf Visits Rome
Sometimes a hot car begs to be taken on the open road. In my case, a Hot Wheels Surf 'N Turf hitched a ride to Rome. Here it is at the base of a column at the famed mall of Rome.
The Surf 'N Turf can ride any wave with a smooth surface. In this case, the speedy Hot Wheels is hanging ten on an ancient bench. It's interesting the way the flat purple primer paint job subtly seems to change color depending on the light.
Finally, we reached out destination: the fabled Labyrinth of Rome. Did I mention that we roamed to Rome, Georgia? It's the affordable local Rome.

Welly Maserati GranTurismo Pull Back Car Model
I recently encountered this nice looking little Maserati GranTurismo on the shelves of my local grocery store. It's just a little pull back toy car, but it's a rather exotic looking little model.
